i am using mandriva 2006 with kde, i have apollon and it is connected but when i try and download nothing works because openft never seems to connect ? What is the problem, i have a 56k modem, but it worked before i left mandrake 10.0 and installed mandriva 2006 so it can't be the modem connection , what is it??

What level of firewalling are you using? Try, temporarily dialling it down and seeing if it gets out. I think you need to open a post in the 6xxx range.
