apache2 php4 and php5 as modules

Hey Community,

i am having trouble running php4 and php5 alongside eachother on apache2 (both as modules).
everything seems to be compiles correctly, and everything works fine when running on it's own, so i can ONLY run php4, and that works fine, and i can only run php5 and that works fine too.
i cannot though get them to work together, not even seperating them via virtual hosts!
i have so far managed to get php4 to be x-httpd-php4 and php5 is x-httpd-php5

what is the issue with php4 and php5 running both as modules?
does naybody know how to work arround this
(i am not looking for the options running one php version as cgi, nor running 2 apache servers.)

the error i get when i try to run both php version at the same time is:
child pid <pid number> exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

i am more keen on getting php4 and 5 to run than knowing what this error message means - this is just for you guys to know, just so nobody has to ask me for that message :-)

Did you ever resolve this problem? I am very interested in getting PHP4 and PHP5 to work together also. I was running Apache 1.3 and had PHP4 running as a module and PHP5 running as cgi. My .php5 files were handled by PHP5-cgi and my .php files were handled by PHP4 module. Now I have Apache2 running and I don't know how to create a similar setup. I'd love to know what you did to get both PHP4 and PHP5 running together. Thanks!
