Apache2 listing

Hi all,

Installed Apache2 the other day and trying to work out this listing problem.

I have "AllowOverride All" and various .htaccess with different rules etc.. problem is they aren't listing in the previous dirs.

if I have auth login, it doesn't list. The folder is there if i know the link but isn't listing Indexes. Same idea with the Allow,Deny allows.

I want the dirs to list, regardless of rules within them. If bad auth user, or not in allow listing, simply a 404.

is this possible?
