Question Apache upgrade 1.3.27 to 1.3.28 (HELP!)

Thank you in advance for any help you all can provide.

I have no clue what I'm doing (as you will see).

I'm now managing a server which runs apache 1.3.27, I've been having some issues and they appear to be resolved in version 1.3.28

I downloaded the gz file and ran the following commands....

./configure --prefix=/etc/httpd

I chose /etc/httpd because it appears that is where the old version was installed.

make install
/etc/httpd/bin/apachectl restart

Then I get syntax error on line 202 /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf invalid command "LoadModule" perhabs misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

So I comment out the line, obviously that's not going to help me since I got MANY of these messages line by line for nearly each line that starts with LoadModule. And a few other lines not related to LoadModule like SSLEnable line etc.

Am I missing something?
