Apache, Tomcat problem with mod_jk

You guy's helped me last time so you lucky devils get to try again.

I have apache running fine, starts up automatically, I have tomcat running fine, I start it manually. Tomcat pages work ok i.e. localhost:8080/index.html comes up and the examples work fine, but I am stuck with In the docs I am told to add a line to httpd.conf to Include TOMCAT_HOME/conf/mod_jk.conf-auto, when I reboot httpd fails. Some of the above paths may be incorrect as I just did this from memory.

Apache 1.3
Tomcat 3.2.3
