apache requires SSL connection

When attempting to access my squirrelmail I get the error:
Feb 1 18:45:49 linux httpd2[32087]: [error] [client IP] access to /var/www/html/squirrelmail/ failed, reason: SSL connection required

If I change the config to another directory it works fine, Im not sure what the problem could be. Why would it force me to use SSL? I know squirrelmail will work with or without encryption.

here is my config
Code:
<VirtualHost *:80>
DocumentRoot "/var/www/html/squirrelmail"
ServerName mail.domain.com
<Directory "/var/www/html/squirrelmail">
allow from all
Options +Indexes
</Directory>
ErrorLog syslog
LogLevel debug
</VirtualHost>
I have also tried using an encrypted page, I still get the same error.

Im absolutley lost at this point.
