apache proxy folder

Hi
i am trying to proxy a folder in apache but its not working what i want to do is have anyone who goes to
wiki.office.int
should go to the wiki application which confluenece
but it doesnt, the user has to put the folder in the path like this

http://wiki.office.int/confluenece/

here is my vhost file
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerName wiki.office.int

<Proxy *>
Order deny,allow
Allow from all
</Proxy>
ProxyRequests Off
ProxyPreserveHost On
ProxyPass /confluence/ http://localhost:8080/confluence/
ProxyPassReverse /confluence/ http://localhost:8080/confluence/

ErrorLog "/etc/httpd/logs/error.log"
CustomLog "/etc/httpd/logs/access.log" combined

</VirtualHost>
i have tried all forms to get it to go directly but it doesnt work unless i put the folder path
Thanks

I'd say the ProxyPass directive is not the right one

ProxyPass / http://localhost:8080/confluence/

sounds good to me.
Take this with a graint of pepper cause I never used proxy directives in apache.
Maybe you could also do what you want with a rewrite rule?

Cheers Zhjim
