Apache problems

My web server won't display some docs in the hidocs folder. I can see the index of the directory in the browser, i can open the files with dreamweaver and see the code (I shared out the htdocs folder with samba) but my browser says it can not fild the file.

can not find 404 error, or permission deniged?

if its permision denigned, then you need to chmod -R /full/path/to/dir 755 and that will do the trick. or just chmod 755 /full/path/to/filename and that will will take care of it.

Does your httpd.conf file declare the correct server root and document root?

You also might want to check the syntax of your httpd.conf file if you have changed it recently.

(/usr/sbin/httpd -t -f <absolute filename>)
