Question Apache HTTP 2.2.15 on RHEL 5.5

We installed Apache 2.2.15 on RHEL5.5 machine but we notice that folder structure is different from what we see in Apache 2.2.15 installed on RHEL6 machine

Can someone please confirm if the difference in folder structure will cause any issue or is it as expected

P.S - I am a novice with Linux so please pardon if the tech terms are wrong

well how did you install the web server ?
using " yum"
Code:
su -
yum install httpd
--- or ---
yum groupinstall "Web Server"
or
build from source
also be aware that RHEL 5.5 is OLD
the current red hat version of rhel5 is RHEL 5.9
that is unless red hat is providing back ports to lock your install as 5.5

Apache is normally installed by default
parts are in /usr/bin
but most is in /var/www

Thanks John..
But it was already installed and provided to us so I will need to reach out to the team to figure out how it was installed.

Yes we are aware that this is a older version but for now we will need to go ahead with that.

Meanwhile do you think the way it is installed affects the folder structure?
Do you think the folder structure affects any of the functionality

if the official red hat rpms were not used
then your RHEL install might not be supported by red hat ( possible voiding of the support contract)

if that was the case then Apache, mysql, php, and so on could be installed in any place and and in many different ways
for example
I like to keep things in one place and not scattered all over the system like the RedHat rpms do
so i install Apache in /var/www/http
mysql in /var/www/mysql
phpmyAdmin in /var/www/phpmyadmin
and the CMS i use in /var/www/http/site

but if the red hat rpms were not used ??
it might be any way imaginable

the folder structure -- yes
any of the functionality -- no , there should be no issues from that , but no guarantee
