Apache displays html code

I am running apache2 on a mandrake 10 CE.

When I try and go to my web page with IE it displays fine.
When I try with firefox it just displays the html code.
Mozilla for windows will ask me if I want to save the file or open with the mime type application/x-trash.
With mozilla for windows if I go directly to index.htm then it displays the code.
Konqueror does the same as mozilla for windows.
Mozilla for linux just displays the top frame and the code in the bottom frame.

Now if I go to https ://<website>/ it works just fine in every browser.

I had thought that it might have some thing to do with the fact that part of the web site is written with frontpage (no comments needed) but I have webalizer running and any of the html pages that it creates do the same thing. So I am pretty sure that its not a code issue.

I dont know where to start trouble shooting with apache so any replys will help

Thanks

Just a note: Any of the php applications that I have running (phpBB2 and gallery) work great.

Strange, could you upload the page somewhere so we can test it?

my site was originaly built in frontpage and when i have it running on a win2k IIS server it runs fine, but when i put it on apache i had to clean up the code.

http://www.sunstatemartialarts.com

http://24.27.195.253

the .com is still running on the IIS server and has the old code not cleaned up or anything. the IP address is my apache server. i just have not bothered with swapping the DNS around to point to my apache server vs the IIS.

to me it sounds like some coding issue not an apache issue as front page does loads of junk. one of the biggest issues i had were some of the odd symbols that frontpage would put in the code to replace the ' ' between file names. that was something i had to clean up in the code when i moved it to apache. there are other things that are way over my head that needed cleaning as well.

i am not a coder and my html skills are babish at best. i have a friend take care of the major work.
