Apache Directory


How do I tuen off Directory listing.. I was looking in the conf files but I did not see any funtchion...

In the directory section or .htaccess file if your server is configured to read the .htaccess add
Code:
Options -Indexes

You can do the same thing in your http.conf if you don't use .htaccess.

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/core.html#options

...just remember "Options -Indexes" in the directory you want

You can make this a global setting in your /etc/apache2/commonapache2.conf. Just find the section starting with
Code:
###
### This should be changed to whatever you set DocumentRoot to.
###
Find the Options directive and set -Indexes.
