apache default public html direcotry

after installing apache... what is the default direcotry that it points to?

for example

http://someip/index.html

would point on the local machine to


/???/??/index.html

grep -i DocumentRoot /etc/apache/httpd.conf
(or whereevery your httpd.conf is).
bu in rh/dc its /var/www/html/
in debian /var/www/
