I'm trying to use apache (1.3.26) with mod_ssl on my slacware system.
I have created all with apacheconf and when i try to start it with
/usr/sbin/apachectl startssl i get and error:
Apache:mod_ssl:Error: Private key not found.
**Stopped
I checked all my entries and they are all correct.
in mod_ssl.conf
SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/apache/ssl.key/server.key
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 963 Jan 10 09:27 /etc/apache/ssl.key/server.key
So realy don't see the problem. If anyone had this problem pls msg me.
Look inside your key file, is it encrypted? it may say something like Proc-Type: ENCRYPTED
if so see if getting rid of the encryption helps.
In my ssl server I'm using a private key that's 887 in size, the encrypted one that I don't use is 963bytes.
