Apache and Cyrillic???


Hello,

I cannot setup apache to shows cyrilic fonts

my html page contains:
Code:
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="bg">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1251">
and even I added
Code:
AddDefaultCharset Off
in .htaccess but no luck

If i change manualy from browser encoding to Cyrillic (KOI8-R) fonts view correctly!

Please help

p.s.
I use apache 2.2.x

What happens if you just set charset to KOI8-R in your HTML instead of windows-1251? Also is it your server? Do you have access to httpd.conf/apache2.conf?

hi

yes the server is mine and have access to httpd.conf
If I set charset=koi8-r in HTML all is ok which is strange...

I agree - it is strange but I've seen the exact same problem a few times before where windows-1251 doesn't work but koi8-r does. Play around with httpd.conf, try for example setting it as default charset.
