Apache 2.0.45 and mod_perl

I got the latest mod_perl-1.99_09 and had a hard time compiling it.. and getting it to work with the apache 2.0.45...
I had the apache 2.0.40 working fine with mod_perl1.99_05-3.i386.rpm running on red hat 8.0.

Any suggestions or links to a mod_perl that works with apache 2.0.45.

Failed to start apache :
