Apache 'Listen' directive doesn't work

Hi all,

I've got a couple of IPs and I'm trying to get Apache to only listen on one of them, so I can free up the other for thttpd.

I've tried uncommenting the Listen directive:

Listen <ip1>:80

But when I restart Apache it just plain doesn't work! Doesn't respond on port 80, and in fact, I don't think the process starts at all.

Any ideas what's going wrong? Where should I look for any error messages? (I'm running Debian)

Thanks,

Rob
