I have it and it works like a charm. Although i'm puzzled, the instructions claimed there was a Setup file with a gui Interface. Alas there was none and I have to run it from terminal, which is disapointing. The XCounter thats packaged with it works well to monitor the connection speed.
I have had the exact same problem i nearly got it to work but never did... i was expecting to be able to use the gui interface but it is nowhere to be seen. i dont no how to run the terminal so im stuck using the windows partition as i have no net on the suse 9.1 i just forgot about the suse partitition... so close to the escape...maybe when i go to collage there be another isp avalible.
If you download one of the version labeled packages the GUI doesn't seem to be included. The 0a01 package does, on the sourceforge page this is listed above the QTkylix.tar.gz Unfortunitely I am unable to get this included GUI to function.
Here's a trick I've used to connect to AOL without having to use their software (tested in windows using Dial-Up Networking).
Write down the access number you use to connect to AOL in Windows. Boot into Linux and try putting that number into your preferred modem dialing program (I use KPPP). Voila! AOL on Linux (kind-of).
