anyone help we with VMWare?

I would like to be able to run a virtual Windows ME machine with VMware-player on SUSE linux 10.0, on my 1.8Ghz AMD turion hp laptop.

I've heard that generally VM-ware player is not able to create images, but there ways of getting around this so you can create a windows image and run it on linux.

I googled it, but didn't find much. All that was there was abut installing windows XP /2000 on ubuntu, e.g.

www. ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=84275

Although that guide was interesting, as I said, I would like to be able to do the same with Windows ME instead of XP. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

The vmware server is free as a beta download, perhapes you should try that instead of the player. i have not used it but i do beleive that it will do what you are asking without having to trick your software.
