Anyone getting Suse 9.0 and Vmware to play nice?

Anyone out there gotten Vmware 4 and Suse 9.0 to get along and play nice?

I've 2 computers, 1 laptop, 1 desktop, vmware installs and modules compile ok, but when installing any os.. Win 98, 2k, XP.. it freezes at random points along the install. Both computers do this. Was able to get it working on the laptop after I fixed the sound by downgrading the kernel. So I assume its just fussing about the kernel...

I see a few dead threads laying about on vmware...

what kinda of freezing?

It would help if I had a little more information on how it seems to freeze.

Mine did have 1 problem during install (meaning a virtual OS not vmware itself) where the screen appeared to go black and that was it. I even managed to BS around it (don't remember how) and then had major graphical problems while actually using the virtual OS.

Turns out it was xfree86

Upgrading xfree86 to 4.3 fixed the problem and haven't had another since.

So if this sounds familar I'd recommend trying that out

Also, their site has a nice support page
