Any Windows Unlocker for Linux?
Hi All,
I am putting together my favorites to repair Windows on a bootable Xfce Fedora Core 20 (FC20) USB stick. Kaspersky has a (slow, clunky, unsupported) live CD with a utility on it called "windowsunlocker (Windows Unlocker)". It is to unlock windows after a ransomware attack so you can remove the virus. (See what stuff you all are missing by not running Windows!) Anyone know of a version of windowsunlocker I could run from my FC20 stick? Many thanks, -T |

the one that is easily unencrypted because they messed it up the fixed version using the fixed rsa 1024 and 2048 encryption zero out the drive including the mbr and reinstall SystemRescueCD -- a great tool http://www.sysresccd.org/SystemRescueCd_Homepage and the current Knoppix 7.2.0 http://www.knopper.net/knoppix-mirrors/index-en.html and Photorec http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec the only 3 things one really needs |
You could try backing up your data. That way it's safe from any attack.
OK, so that's a bit preachy but honestly all machines will fail and data will be lost. |

Why are you re-inventing the wheel? There are numerous Linux utility CDs and outright utilitarian distributions (Live CDs) for such activity. |
Also bartsPE and such. I agree with a good backup.
The issue is more why this app has attacked your system too. |
