I don't think refreshing is going to take that much of resources yeah?

And I realized CPU shoot up to 99% once every minute....thats crazy...
The process is 'spamd' dya know anything about it?

masand 08-28-2004 04:00 PM

hi

spamd looks like some spam blocker
i haven't heard of it

kill that pid by
#kill -9 pid
also the cpu will shoot in intervals, that is fine

http://spamassassin.apache.org/doc/spamd.html - spamd is part of SpamAssassin - do you have it installed?

http://www.benzedrine.cx/relaydb.html - tells you how to use it.

Yes I have spam assassin.
Didn't know it takes up 99% of my CPU though....;-(

My 2 cents of information on it .

$ssh nitin@remoteserver top
password : <My Password >

This would give you the output of the top command on the remote server without logging in or out . Also the top command will keep to run till u kill it by CTRL + c or q.

Don't forget to Affero me!

Don't know what distro you're using but on Fedora there's the "ntsysv" command that pops up a gui that lets you decide what starts at boot. I always unselect the spamassasin option.
