Smile Any package for creating gif files ?


Hi friends,
I am using Ubuntu 9.10. I want to create gif files for my website.
Can anyone please suggest a good software for creating gif animated files for my Ubuntu machine.

GIMP will create GIFs, but I'm sure there are better solutions. Did Google find anything?
