hello all:
I have updated from avg 7.5 to 8.5 and I cannot fird how to start it. I do know there is no GUI and I don't care much about that but I have tried every command I can think of and cannot get it to start, run, or update if any one has a list of commands I could use it- mandriva 2009.1 free AVG-8.5 (no gui)

The command to use is
Code:
avgscan /.

It's linux - virus free! Why do you need AVG exactly? If you need to do virus scanning on linux (this is really kind of pointless, Linux has about HALF the viruses of Mac, so they're addressed quickly with updates, and are almost never encountered) try ClamAV... works nicely for me!

Yeah, there are very few viruses targeted at Linux. I personally use ClamAV, but only for the sake of the Windows files I sometimes have to deal with.
