[SOLVED] Any kpowersave replacement?
I've got a Debian 5.0 AMD64 linux, with (most) packages from testing and kernel 2.6.29.
Last week I updated from KDE 3.5.10 to KDE 4.2.2, and I've purged most packages from KDE3. There are only three KDE3 packages I want to save: - Amarok (but Amarok 2 will be coming with KDE4 support). - K3B (but newer versions of K3B will add KDE4 support). - kpowersave. kpowersave is the most anoying package in my distro. It's a really great program, but is the only package that needs KDE3 libs and is working 100% of time in my computer. I think that I can save some memory if KDE3 libs are not loaded all the time. I've seen some power managemente settings, and a battery plasmoid, but I haven't found a KDE4 package that allows CPU throttling. Any one can recommend me a package to replace kpowersave? |
[SOLVED] CPU frequency modules weren't loaded in my testing machine, so powerdevil didn't recognize throttling. But it lacks a plasmoid that show current frequency of CPU (although there is a plasmoid that shows CPU load).
