any know a free or very cheap Point of Sales system for Linux?

I am looking to keep costs down on a business I am opening shortly and would like to use linux based POS stations for the POS stations and the server.

I'd really prefer if it integrated with Gnucash and the like.

I have checked into both BananaPOS and Quasar/Quasar POS, but unfortunately Banana is just recently getting updated and is still in the beta stages.

And Quasar hasn't been updated for Suse since 9.3... (Not that Suse is necessary, it's just showing how long it has been since an update)

I want to make sure that my system is supported for years to come--but I don't want to buy Quickbooks, a POS system and Windows for each machine I need it on.

Thanks!
Travis

Have a look at nTPV. The software is free, but you can purchase support from the developers.
