any ideas?


i've tested dcgui and had a connection problem, i got disconnected all the time. now i want to know if there is any good apps like windows direct connect ?

http://gift.sf.net Great app, uses the Kazaa network as well with a plugin. Search the board for more info, and also for more clients to check out.

databases generally suck in linux and the ones that can be good are usually a royal pita to install.

the best overall one I have seen is Limewire, it's not that bad to install and the database is better than a lot of the others.

Limewire? Are you serious? It's one of the biggest system hogs as well as returns just as many results as gtk-gnutella...

I'd have to disagree. I'd say look at mldonkey, giFT, xmule... Anything BUT Limewire... Just my NSHO..

gtk-gnutella is a good sub. imho, stay way from xmule.

I vote to stay away from Limewire as well, its a hog, tends to be harder to install compared to most others...
