Does anyone know of any good easy to use screen recorders for linux and what distro is compatible with ? This is for recording published web video`s like on YouTube. Many for windows but need something for linux, but cant find myself. Not VLC does not fit my needs.
Way to old from 2008 & to complicated for me, ease of use GUI required, must support standard formatts mpeg-avi etc. nothing ancient, must be able to use modern linux distros, Mint-Lubunto etc. etc.
But thank`s for trying.
A bit dated now that avconv is no longer the debian default choice. But mostly the same parms for ffmpeg. Although the output video codec and preset might not work without mods. And meant for quality recording, to be post-edited. But without the 4:4:4 colorspace, yellow seemed to be more of a cream color, in my experience. And I tended to favor yellow fonts on a black background.
OBS would likely be the simple-est if you intend to stream it to youtube or twitch live.
