Any equivalent to OS X cover flow finder windows?

I'm learning linux and trying to migrate from OSX. I'm drawn to the look of KDE / Plasma (especially dark themes) and considering Mint.

What I'd really like is to be able to attach images to folders and use a clean graphic view look for my file manager. I don't know if anything like it is available.

Where are the folders you're referring to? Are they in Dolphin file manager? You can assign custom icons to folders in Dolphin, but I don't know about jpegs.
