I hate to sound like a tight-wad here, but does anybody know of one for sendmail that is free? As in updated freely, no cost for initial install, and all that. I don't require something like this but it would be nice to have as an added line of defense. I work at a "small" hospital that is non-profit, so money does not flow freely around here. But, I'm sure that's the same with a lot of ya'll too. :)

Free antivirus for sendmail

Hello Benji

Take a look at www.antivir.de. Here you'll find an Antivirusscanner for sendmail. As far as I know the personal edition is free to use. (Also Linux)

I know you are looking for free, but Vexira Antivirus for Mail Servers, Sendmail edition is awesome. It's $200 per year, and updates are automatically distributed to your box over the web via cron job. The best part about it is that it integrates with Sendmail using a milter, which is so slick I can't even begin to describe. I work for a small shop, too, but compared to McAfee's GroupShield for Exchange (which costs several $1000s per year) Vexira is much more affordable.

Just my two cents.
