An Automatic Delete or Erase Program

Hi Everybody,

I tried to search the internet for this, a program that deletes files in the computer. However, I can't find one.

What happened to me is, I clean up folder files individually. I was hoping that a program where, if there is a file that should be deleted in a lapse of a particular time, it will automatically do so.

i kinda don't get it what files you want do be deleting in the folder. i know that you can use scripts + cronjobs to do that. i'll give an overall idea here:

make a script that would run the program rm -r /example_folder/*(please guys correct me if i'm wrong) (is supposed to delete all files and directories in /example_folder ..
and then make a cronjob and set the cronjob to do the deleting at the time interval you wish.

i'm not that experienced, but if i would have been i would have made the scripts as examples to you.. hope someone advanced comes to help you out...

Hi silvyus_06,

i was hoping for a program, like a ical for mac. where it beeps you when these files are due for deleting.

in case of scripts, do you have a website where i may get learning from.
