Question amule under Fedora7


hi everyone

I installed amule on my fedora7. but I cant connect or use it. I pressed connect button but there isn't any happens.what should i do?thanks in advance.

You may need to update your servers.met file. See here:

Server List for eDonkey and eMule

You can update this file from within aMule on the servers tab or download the file and manually copy it to ~/.aMule

Also, don't forget to open the ports in the firewall (System - Administration... Firewall/SElinux I think)
4662 and 4672 TCP and UDP are the standard ports. Otherwise you will get a horribly slow transfer rate.

Have you found the SElinux/firewall configuration tool?
It's either called 'add rule' or port-forewarding. I'm not sure. I'm on ubuntu right now. I think you have to create one rule for udp and one for tcp. You have to enter the port range, which would be 4662-4662 for just the one port.
