amsn setup

I just installed amsn and am trying to get logged in.
I have a username and hotmail address. When I try to login in I get "Wrong username or password".

I have tried to ping "hotmail.com" and get "From ms-peer-sea.gwy1-sea.bb.allstream.net (216.191.65.162) icmp_seq=5 Packet filtered"
"--- hotmail.com ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 0 received, +1 errors, 100% packet loss, time 3998ms"
Any ideas how I should proceed here.?

HI,

Not sure of problem but amsn is for Chat on MSN and it has nothing to do with Hotmail. So your ping doesn't help

as you see its gives wrong user or password, you must try to connect to your hotmail account and check if its login information is correct.

I have setup an account (its for my daughter). However I had to do it on a non Linux box. Will she be able to use the hotmail and MSN on the Linux computer.?
