aMSN incomming webcam is distorted and pixelated

When ever I view someone's webcam over aMSN, the connection seems to be fine, but the person's webcam image has large colored blocks covering it (usually in place where there is movement, so not on walls as much). My outgoing webcam (OV51x-based camera) quality is fine, both on mine and the receiver's machines.

Could it be an old/buggy library or something? Thanks in advance...

Webcam

I've checked my router settings; they direct ports 6890 through 6900 to the machine I'm using, as it says on the aMSN site. But it's not the answer...

This link is to a screenshot of a webcam window, showing the distortions.

Thanks for the help so far

kopete's incoming webcam is equally as bad, its (kopete's) outgoing webcam (from what I've been told by contacts) is just green or purple. KMess doesn't support webcams yet AFAIK and I didn't have much luck with Mercury last time I tried it. It must be a decoder problem, my router's configured properly and everything...

"Distorted and pixellated ..." Why, that's probably the nicest thing I've heard somebody say about MSN in quite some time!

Ok, I admit distorted and pixelated is an understatement, the image is unviewable. If you look at the link posted above, you will see for yourself.

I'd be grateful for any pointers as to what's wrong, whether it's my router/connection or a missing library.
