amsn

I have RH9. I downloaded amsn and its not running. says it needs wish to be there and wish is not there. I downloaded tcl 8.4.4. How exactly do I go about making amsn run presuming wish is not there.

RH9 comes with tcl and tk libraries in rpm format (check the installation disks).
Names go like this :
tcl-8.3.5-88
tk-8.3.5-88
Before start compiling check that you don't have tcl or tk instaled in rpm format with this:
<<code
rpm -q tcl
rpm -q tk
<<end code

and if you have it you can run this to obtain it's location:
<<code
which wish
<<end code

Calling it's location {wishloc} and the location of the amsn folder {amsnloc} the command you need to run is:
<<code
{wishloc} {amsnloc}/amsn
<<end code

But if you don't have instaled the rpm check the instalation disks and install the packages with this command as root:
<<code
rpm -i package-name.rpm
<<end code

That will be enought to make work amsn. Enjoy it.
