AMR (Adaptive Multi-Rate) audio codec for linux
is there an AMR codec (for listening audio files from Nokia mobile phones) for linux ? i found the winsux version for media player, but i didn't find it for linux (yet)...

Do any of these Google hits help?
I have seen those AMR slots but I never have seen anything put in them. |
no no no i don't mean audio modem reiser. its the adaptive multi-rate audio codec. here is a link to the winblows version: http://www.voiceage.com/products/spotamr-decoder.asp
some of the Nokia phones are able to record the sound in this format, and i would like to listen it on my linux box and this is why i need the AMR codec ;) |
Perhaps these Google hits look better then.

Hello,
There is a source for amr encoder and decoder in www.3gpp.org , i had worked on building an encoder and decoder for AMR in linux . It is very simple and you will have the readme file which gives you all instructions on how u need to build both encoder and decoder programs and how u need to give arguments also. Hope this helps.
