ambient driver compile error

Hi
I have an ambient ham Intel winmodem, for which I've downloaded the linux driver. Unfortunately it bombs out during "make all" with a compile error. I'm running (or not):( suse 7.1 kernel 2.18. Anyone have the same problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
