amarok wont play oggs


hi all,
i have amarok2.0 on my mandrivaone2009 or spring i clicked upgrade but it sas 2009 still weird...
anyway no matter what i do it wont play ogg files i look in the directory via amarok empty one with mp3s full of em so how do i play with my old version it was the opposite... it would play oggs but not mp3...
please help

did installin / updating that package fix your ogg issue in amarok ?

well no it was installed and there was no updates avalible and rpmdrake wont work any more...urpmi

Ahh from the searching I did it seems that Amarok uses xine in the backend, and I saw some references to configuring it. but it was always pretty vague. libxine was the library needed for ogg playback. apparently this issue has come up several times in the past on Mandriva, not sure why that distro came up with this particular issue more than the others.
