Amarok won't launch on .pls

I see so many amarok problems I hope I can get a fix for mine. It used to open on .pls files such as "shoutcast" but quit. I upgraded to 1.4 but it still won't open on .pls files. Embedded or not. It does play, however, the files that come with it and it plays audio cd's. It's set up in KDE to play pls so I don't know where to look from here. Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you have the right codecs? Which distro are you talking about?

I've got the win32codecs and I'm using Suse 9.3.

I finally got it to work. Why, I don't know, but I had to use "opt/kde3/bin/amarokapp" instead of "opt/kde3/bin/amarok".
