I'm using amarok 1.4.5 on KDE 3.4.3
The first time i had installed amarok it build a collection like it should.
But all the times after that i wouldn't list new items...when i start rebuilding i can hear and see my HD's being scanned by amarok but the status bar remains 0%.
Then after a while it just stops at either 0% or it spurts to 49% and hangs...giving the message:
Code:
amarok: [ThreadManager] Threads in pool: 2
And this goes on for a loooooong time, i have waited 10 hours once.
I have browsed the net and saw amarok uses a sql database to store this data...it should be configurable under the settings...but what do i see when i go to the collection tab, no database selection at all...just the tree with folders you can activate for it to search in.
After this i did a make uninstall and deleted the amarok stuff in the home dir (folder amarok and amarokrc).
Then i compiled from source again and configured with --enable-mysql. (i have mysql installed and running, and i got the libmysqlclient)
With no success.
Now i won't even build a collection at all.
Please help
