Amarok Randomly Skips

Running Debian sid. Amarok 1.4.9.1, KDE 3.5.9.

Just about every other song, Amarok will skip ahead to the next song after only about 20-30 sec of playing. It then plays a full song, then skips again. Sometimes it skips two in a row. I thought it might have been random, but I turned that off and it kept doing it. Not sure what the problem could be. Any thoughts?

All files are locally stored MP3 44.1 khz, 128kbps.

yes, i have this problem too since i upgraded to amarok 1.4.8
for me, it plays only half a second and then skips to the next song.
but not always, only when it's in the mood...

i don't think it has anything to do with the type of file. i use mp3, m4a and ogg mainly.
it doesn't matter which type it is. if amarok doesn't like it, it skips.

Hm, weird. I also hadn't thought of checking if it would always do the same files, but I think it is completely random, like it is a different file each time.
