Amarok Q...about recording live streams...

I have an icon in my home directory that when I click on it Amarok opens and starts/plays the stream (from Shoutcast website)...I've tried KRecord to record the stream...no luck (only static recorded-have changed various settings).

I was wondering how I could go about recording this stream...using OpenSuse 11.0...does Suse have a tool for this? Does Amarok have an extension that would do this? Thoughts? Thanks

You can use an application called streamripper to do that and this script :

http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=32842

I don't know if this solution is available in suse, however. Another application that a lot of people use is streamtuner along with streamripper. Streamtuner is very nice and will automatically use streamripper if it is installed.
