amaroK playing files to fast

Ok when I try to play a .mp3 file in amaroK it plays in like 3 seconds. When I know the song is 3 mins or long etc. I know the songs are good to. I was wondering if this is a In-Correct setting or just a bug.

Have you tried just playing the MP3 with XMMS? I had a couple of issues with amarok and opted for XMMS which I don't think has ever failed me once.

Try chaning the output engine from xine to aRts. To do so Go to the Settings menu, select Configure Amarok, Click on the Engine tab, and select aRts from the dropdown menu for Sound System. Please let me know if that helps you.
