Hey all, I have a few songs ripped to flac from vinyl. Amarok can't seem to play them, is it because they are to big, heres the info on the file I am trying to play.

Bitrate: 2802
Samplerate: 96000Hz
Size: 96.9Mb
type: flac.

I think maybe its samplerate is too high for amarok, can I change this in amarok.

I can get the songs to play fine in mplayer and vlc, but amarok plays them with a pause every half second.

Anyone know what I have to do? Thanks!

Without testing it I can't say for sure, but I'd guess you're probably right about the samplerate. Many players are only designed to accept a limited range of inputs.

You'll probably have to re-encode the files to a more reasonable samplerate. CD quality is 44100, so I'd shoot for that. the flac encoder has a samplerate conversion flag, but I'm not sure if you can use it to resample an existing flac file. You can give it a try in any case. If it doesn't work you should be able to use something like ffmpeg or mplayer to do it.
