amaroK: How to include .wma files when scanning collection?

Hi all,

In amaroK, i set a folder for scanning, and basically it scans the folder recursively and picks up all the .mp3 files and adds them to my collection?

How can i configure the scanning to pick up .wma files as well? i am able to play a .wma file by dragging it from the "Files" list (not "Collection") to the playlist.

TIA and Regards,
Edwin

I don't think it adds it to the collection because taglib can't read wma tags.

hmm... yes, that makes perfect sense. So there's no way i can have them scanned into the collection? (i don't mind not having the tags for wma files, or just seeing the filename.)

Thanks and Regards,
Edwin

wma support in taglib

Hello,
I am currently experiencing the same difficulty with amaroK not scanning wma file into the collection. It is because the taglib doesn't read them. A search on google led me here to help me solve the issue, but I haven't qute figured it out for myself yet. If you do get taglib with wma to work for you in amaroK, please post how you did it.

Cool

WMA, AAC and RealMedia metadata support was added in amaroK 1.4. Beta1 has just been released.

Have fun
