Amarok asking for decoder

I have installed amarok in fc5 using yum and hoped that all the dependencies and all other stuffs will be installed. The problem is that whenever i run any file (mp3,avi,mpeg,...) an error messgae came s saying decoder not found. I have searched for decoder in google all i found was for suse. Now i wonder what should be done.

What you need is a set of codecs, there are lots of them for decoding different encodings of audio/video.
They are usually installed in /usr/lib/codecs/
Because they are proprietary, they are not installed by default*.
Googe for "<Name of your distro> codecs" and you'll soon find what you need.
If you want to play DVDs you'll have to find & install libdvdcss as well*.

*(and some of them might be illegal in your country)
