Amarok always 'busy'

Whenever the Amarok player is on and my cursor is above it, the cursor changes to the 'ticking clock' busy cursor. Amarok can be stopped and have no reason to be working hard on anything, but this cursor always shows. Anyone know how to fix this?

Note- it doesn't occur when I mouse over the frame or exit buttons, only the guts inside the WindowMaker frame.

It might be an issue with windowmaker loading a bunch of KDE's guts. Unfortunately, Amarok relies a lot on a lot of KDe, so it tends to load a bunch of that when loaded.
