I'm using Amarok 1.4.4 with Xine 1.1.4 on Fedora Core 6, and I'm having a few problems concerning M4A audio.
Amarok skips the first second of M4A files
I can't edit M4A tags
I'm guessing the first problem is related to Xine's gapless playback feature, because it skips about half a second on non-M4A files. As for the latter issue...does taglib support M4A tags?
I think taglib does support .aac files. I am also using Amarok 1.4.4 (on Gentoo) and I am able to edit the .aac file tags (but not the 'disk number' probably because aac doesn't support it).
PS: you are talking of m4a files are the .aac files right?
Yeah, I guess .M4A is technically a container format, but I'm pretty sure all of them are AAC. They were created in iTunes. I tried encoding some .WAV files with FAAC and couldn't edit their tags either.
