hello !!
well recently i got into fedora 10 ... awesome !!
well but then amarok or dragon player doesnt play any of the audio/video files how do i get them to work or how do i configure them >?????
and since they didnt work i downloaded vlc player it plays but the sound is broken kinda .. i mean every few seconds the sound breaks .. there is no continuity wat do i do ??
thank you !!
Help would be appreciated
What kind of media files are you trying to play. I think fedora doesn't come with libraries for playing patent encumbered formats like MP3, so that might be your problem. I am not a Fedora user, but I believe there are fairly easy ways to install that stuff. I'm sure you can find that info in the Fedora forum, or maybe someone here can tell you.
ok i didnt want to start a new thread .. here i go.
how do i play .RMVB files.. wats the codec i should download?
I had never heard of RMVB files before but about 30 seconds googling educated me (Google is your friend ). You can download a realplayer or mplayer (or mplayer derivative like gmplayer), vlc etc. will play these files. It seems you need the Real audio codecs to play them.
Cheers,
jdk
