Amarok
hello !!
well recently i got into fedora 10 ... awesome !! well but then amarok or dragon player doesnt play any of the audio/video files how do i get them to work or how do i configure them >????? and since they didnt work i downloaded vlc player it plays but the sound is broken kinda .. i mean every few seconds the sound breaks .. there is no continuity wat do i do ?? thank you !! Help would be appreciated |
What kind of media files are you trying to play. I think fedora doesn't come with libraries for playing patent encumbered formats like MP3, so that might be your problem. I am not a Fedora user, but I believe there are fairly easy ways to install that stuff. I'm sure you can find that info in the Fedora forum, or maybe someone here can tell you.

why don't you run a yum at Terminal like "yum update amarok" or "yum groupinstall sound-and-video". Of course, you can only do this as a root.
