hello !!
well recently i got into fedora 10 ... awesome !!
well but then amarok or dragon player doesnt play any of the audio/video files how do i get them to work or how do i configure them >?????
and since they didnt work i downloaded vlc player it plays but the sound is broken kinda .. i mean every few seconds the sound breaks .. there is no continuity wat do i do ??

What kind of media files are you trying to play. I think fedora doesn't come with libraries for playing patent encumbered formats like MP3, so that might be your problem. I am not a Fedora user, but I believe there are fairly easy ways to install that stuff. I'm sure you can find that info in the Fedora forum, or maybe someone here can tell you.

why don't you run a yum at Terminal like "yum update amarok" or "yum groupinstall sound-and-video". Of course, you can only do this as a root.

ok i didnt want to start a new thread .. here i go.
how do i play .RMVB files.. wats the codec i should download?

I had never heard of RMVB files before but about 30 seconds googling educated me (Google is your friend ;)). You can download a realplayer or mplayer (or mplayer derivative like gmplayer), vlc etc. will play these files. It seems you need the Real audio codecs to play them.

i need the codecs cos neither vlc nor mplayer plays rmvb .. on the upfront....
well will google and see if i hit some luck :D

Well, you can try them on Real Player.
