Question amanda amrecover


Hi
i have just installed amanda 2.6.0
its up and running but i want to test the recover
but i cant seem to get it to work when i run
#amrecover

nothing happens when i checked the log file i saw
amrecover: connect_port: Skip port 531: Owned by conference.
amrecover: connect_port: Skip port 532: Owned by netnews.
amrecover: connect_port: Try port 533: Available - amrecover: connect_portrange: connect from 0.0.0.0.533 failed
amrecover: connect_portrange: connect to 192.168.2.160.10080 failed: No route to host

and this cont till i stop it i can ping the server and ssh into it but i dont know why it tells me no route to host can anyone help me

thanks but i got it working for anyone who has this problem make sure you have the client installed on the server as well
but the amrecover works from the client

Thanks for posting the solution. It would be pretty hard to guess that from just the errors you posted.
